Inspired by the indulgent aesthetic of the 1970s and 1980s, the new Mimoso sofa, designed by Note Design Studio for Sancal, recaptures the nostalgia and pleasure of oversized, deep-seated furniture. Note reinvents this spirit through a simple yet striking gesture: an XXL "duvet" that gracefully drapes over a sturdy base, creating a compelling contrast between solidity and softness.

To achieve this plush, softly wrinkled volume, material selection is paramount. Only supple, flexible fabrics allow the piece to fully express its defining character. Meticulous tailoring details on the seat and backrest further emphasize this commitment to enhanced comfort, creating a textured relief that invites you to pause and unwind.

Designed by Marc Morro as a tribute to his homeland of Palma de Mallorca, the Palma armchair has been revived from the designer's personal archives by Sancal, evolving into a piece centered on comfort while retaining its structural honesty. Its architecture combines a tubular metal frame with a seat and backrest crafted from curved plywood slats, balanced by generous solid ash armrests and an optional cushion that seamlessly integrates into the design. Furthermore, the ability to customize the wood and metal finishes using Sancal's color palette grants the armchair remarkable aesthetic flexibility, effortlessly shifting between understated and contemporary styles.

With the Twins line, designer Júlia Esqué explores how upholstery can radically transform an object's identity. Rooted in a structure inspired by cinema seats, the collection comprises two pieces identical in form yet polar opposites in personality: the Formal Twin, defined by firm, serene lines and outlined with precise piping, and the Drama Twin, where fabric cascades into expressive, relaxed folds that suggest movement.

The collection also features special designer editions that accentuate the iconic character of each piece, whether through contrasting color outlines on the Formal version or the use of technical, structured fabrics in the "skirts" of the Drama edition.

Inspired by the urban and spontaneous imagery of people gathered on stadium bleachers, Dutch studio UNStudio (founded by Ben van Berkel) has created the Gradas seating collection for Sancal. Grounded in the principle that furniture should transcend mere function and foster social interaction, the XL version reinterprets a multi-level tiered structure to create an almost architectural presence, ideal for activating and structuring large open spaces.

The collection's vibrant energy also adapts to more intimate areas through the three-seater sofa (L version), designed for waiting zones, and the armchair (S version), which maintains its sculptural character in both residential and contract interiors. With its flexible and communal nature, Gradas blurs the boundaries between furniture and architecture, proposing a more open and collective way of inhabiting contemporary spaces.
